What we do on site

• We walk the wet area above the damage, not just the room the damage is in. Water travels — the stain on your ceiling is the exit, and it is frequently metres from the entry.
• Thermal imaging maps the saturation behind finishes. It is almost always wider than the visible mark, and its shape points back toward the source.
• Moisture readings are taken at the surface and at depth, because that is what separates condensation from water in the substrate.
• Where the source could be plumbing, we isolate the supply and waste lines and test. If that is the answer, we tell you — it is a far smaller job than the one most people are braced for.
• Falls are checked with a level rather than by eye, and outlet inverts are measured.

How long it takes

Typically 45 to 90 minutes for a flat or a single terrace; longer on a society terrace, an industrial roof or where the leak path is ambiguous and needs zone-by-zone water testing.

What you get

A written report setting out where the water is entering, the path it takes to where you can see it, the treatment options that apply, and a fixed written estimate naming the system, the number of coats and the coverage or dry film thickness. Exclusions are stated on the estimate rather than discovered later.
