Product description

Leakproofs by Betterwork specifies and applies SmartCare Tile Adhesive as part of a complete waterproofing system. A material on its own does not stop a leak — what stops it is the right material chosen for the right defect, on a surface that has been properly prepared. That is why we deep-scan before we specify.

Where SmartCare Tile Adhesive is used

This product is specified for tiling, bathroom, kitchen.

• Floor and wall tiling in bathrooms and kitchens
• Tiling over a cured waterproofing membrane
• Balcony and utility area tiling
• General residential and commercial tiling

Suitable substrates: RCC, Screed, Plaster.

How it is applied

Mixed to the specified consistency, combed out with a notched trowel sized for the tile, and the tile beaten in to full contact. The membrane beneath must be cured and, in a wet area, flood-tested first.

Preparation is the part that decides whether the system lasts. Loose material and failed old coatings are removed, cracks are cut and filled, and the surface is cleaned and brought to the moisture condition the product requires before anything is applied. Skipping that stage is the single most common reason waterproofing fails in its first season, whichever brand is on the tin.
