Product description

Leakproofs by Betterwork specifies and applies SmartCare RepairMax 200 as part of a complete waterproofing system. A material on its own does not stop a leak — what stops it is the right material chosen for the right defect, on a surface that has been properly prepared. Where SmartCare RepairMax 200 is used

This product is specified for concrete, walls.

• Modifying repair mortar for patch repairs
• Interior and exterior making good
• Repairs after crack cutting or service chasing
• Bond coat before new mortar is placed

Suitable substrates: Concrete, Plaster, Masonry.

How it is applied

Gauged into the repair mortar at the specified ratio, and brushed on as a bond coat where the substrate needs it. The new material goes on while the bond coat is still tacky.

Preparation is the part that decides whether the system lasts. Loose material and failed old coatings are removed, cracks are cut and filled, and the surface is cleaned and brought to the moisture condition the product requires before anything is applied. Skipping that stage is the single most common reason waterproofing fails in its first season, whichever brand is on the tin.
