Product description

Leakproofs by Betterwork specifies and applies Alldry Salt Seal as part of a complete waterproofing system. A material on its own does not stop a leak — what stops it is the right material chosen for the right defect, on a surface that has been properly prepared. That is why we deep-scan before we specify.

Where Alldry Salt Seal is used

This product is specified for walls, damp walls.

• Walls where efflorescence returns after every repaint
• Buildings on saline groundwater with rising damp
• Plinth-level masonry showing salt bloom
• Interior faces of walls with salt-contaminated plaster

Suitable substrates: Plaster, Masonry, Brick.

How it is applied

Applied after salt-contaminated plaster has been removed and the wall allowed to dry. This matters: sealing over active salt bloom without removing the contaminated layer traps the salts and they push the new system off from behind.

Preparation is the part that decides whether the system lasts. Loose material and failed old coatings are removed, cracks are cut and filled, and the surface is cleaned and brought to the moisture condition the product requires before anything is applied. Skipping that stage is the single most common reason waterproofing fails in its first season, whichever brand is on the tin.
