How it is applied
Applied over a properly primed substrate. Metal on an exposed elevation needs the correct primer beneath the finish — enamel straight onto bare or rusting steel fails at the first monsoon.
Preparation is the part that decides whether the system lasts. Loose material and failed old coatings are removed, cracks are cut and filled, and the surface is cleaned and brought to the moisture condition the product requires before anything is applied. Skipping that stage is the single most common reason waterproofing fails in its first season, whichever brand is on the tin.
