Where SmartCare Damp Sheath Exterior Advanced is used

This product is specified for walls.

• High-rise elevations where re-access is expensive
• Exposed sites taking sustained driven rain
• Society repainting programmes with long recoat intervals
• Elevations with recurring fine cracking

Suitable substrates: Plaster, Masonry, Concrete.

How it is applied

Applied over a fully prepared and primed substrate. On a high-rise the access cost usually exceeds the material cost, which is the practical case for specifying the longer-life grade rather than scaffolding again in five years.

Preparation is the part that decides whether the system lasts. Loose material and failed old coatings are removed, cracks are cut and filled, and the surface is cleaned and brought to the moisture condition the product requires before anything is applied. Skipping that stage is the single most common reason waterproofing fails in its first season, whichever brand is on the tin.
