Product description

Leakproofs by Betterwork specifies and applies Apcolite Premium Emulsion as part of a complete waterproofing system. A material on its own does not stop a leak — what stops it is the right material chosen for the right defect, on a surface that has been properly prepared. Where Apcolite Premium Emulsion is used

Suitable substrates: Plaster, Putty, Masonry.

How it is applied

Applied over a prepared, primed and puttied surface in the specified coats. On a wall repainted after damp treatment, substrate moisture is verified first.

Preparation is the part that decides whether the system lasts. Loose material and failed old coatings are removed, cracks are cut and filled, and the surface is cleaned and brought to the moisture condition the product requires before anything is applied. Skipping that stage is the single most common reason waterproofing fails in its first season, whichever brand is on the tin.
