Where SmartCare Terrace Tile Primer is used

This product is specified for terrace, tiling.

• Priming glazed terrace tiles before a tile coat
• Preparing tiled balconies for waterproofing
• Any low-porosity surface receiving a coating system

Suitable substrates: Tile, Ceramic.

How it is applied

Applied to cleaned, degreased tiles and allowed to develop before the coating goes on. Skipping the primer on a glazed surface is the fastest way to have an expensive tile coat peel off in sheets after one season.

Preparation is the part that decides whether the system lasts. Loose material and failed old coatings are removed, cracks are cut and filled, and the surface is cleaned and brought to the moisture condition the product requires before anything is applied. Skipping that stage is the single most common reason waterproofing fails in its first season, whichever brand is on the tin.
