Waterproofing in Pune is quoted per square foot, but the rate you are given can vary by three times for what looks like the same job. This guide explains what the ranges actually are, and what legitimately moves a price up.

How to compare two quotations honestly

A cheaper quotation is often cheaper because it is a smaller scope. Before comparing totals, check each quotation states:

• The exact system and brand, with the number of coats
• Dry film thickness in microns, or coverage per kg
• What surface preparation is included
• Curing time allowed between coats
• Whether water testing is included before handover
• The warranty term, in writing, and what it actually covers

If two quotations differ by 40% and only one lists these, you are not comparing the same job.

Watch for the hidden costs

Ask specifically whether the price includes debris removal, scaffolding, water for curing, and making good any tiles or plaster removed during the work. These are the line items that most often appear later.
