Product description

Leakproofs by Betterwork specifies and applies XtremoSeal Weatherproof as part of a complete waterproofing system. A material on its own does not stop a leak — what stops it is the right material chosen for the right defect, on a surface that has been properly prepared. That is why we deep-scan before we specify.

Where XtremoSeal Weatherproof is used

This product is specified for joints, walls.

• External movement and perimeter joints
• Facade and cladding junctions
• Exposed glazing perimeters
• Roof-level joints in direct sun

Suitable substrates: Glass, Aluminium, Concrete, Metal.

How it is applied

Applied to clean, dry surfaces with backer rod where the joint depth requires it, and tooled to a concave profile so the edges stay in compression.

Preparation is the part that decides whether the system lasts. Loose material and failed old coatings are removed, cracks are cut and filled, and the surface is cleaned and brought to the moisture condition the product requires before anything is applied. Skipping that stage is the single most common reason waterproofing fails in its first season, whichever brand is on the tin.
