XtremoSeal GP

Product description

Leakproofs by Betterwork specifies and applies XtremoSeal GP as part of a complete waterproofing system. A material on its own does not stop a leak — what stops it is the right material chosen for the right defect, on a surface that has been properly prepared. That is why we deep-scan before we specify.

Where XtremoSeal GP is used

This product is specified for joints, bathroom.

• Glazing and glass-to-frame junctions
• Aluminium window and door frames
• Sanitary fittings, basins and shower trays
• Tile-to-sanitaryware junctions

Suitable substrates: Glass, Aluminium, Ceramic, Metal.

How it is applied

Applied to clean, dry, grease-free surfaces and tooled to a concave profile. Old silicone is cut out entirely before resealing — new silicone will not bond to cured silicone.

Preparation is the part that decides whether the system lasts. Loose material and failed old coatings are removed, cracks are cut and filled, and the surface is cleaned and brought to the moisture condition the product requires before anything is applied. Skipping that stage is the single most common reason waterproofing fails in its first season, whichever brand is on the tin.
