Product description

Leakproofs by Betterwork specifies and applies SmartCare Roof Tapes as part of a complete waterproofing system. A material on its own does not stop a leak — what stops it is the right material chosen for the right defect, on a surface that has been properly prepared. That is why we deep-scan before we specify.

Where SmartCare Roof Tapes is used

This product is specified for roof, terrace, joints.

• Parapet-to-slab junctions on terraces
• Joints between roof sheets and around penetrations
• Over filled cracks before coating
• Around pipe penetrations and outlets

Suitable substrates: RCC, Metal, Screed.

How it is applied

Bedded into the first coat of the waterproofing while it is still wet, then covered by the following coats so it is fully encapsulated. Tape laid on top of a cured coating is decoration.

Preparation is the part that decides whether the system lasts. Loose material and failed old coatings are removed, cracks are cut and filled, and the surface is cleaned and brought to the moisture condition the product requires before anything is applied. Skipping that stage is the single most common reason waterproofing fails in its first season, whichever brand is on the tin.
