Product description

Leakproofs by Betterwork specifies and applies Dr. Fixit Roofseal Flex as part of a complete waterproofing system. A material on its own does not stop a leak — what stops it is the right material chosen for the right defect, on a surface that has been properly prepared. That is why we deep-scan before we specify.

Where Dr. Fixit Roofseal Flex is used

This product is specified for roof, terrace.

• Roofs that crack seasonally from thermal movement
• Terraces on buildings with known structural movement
• Slabs over expansive soils where movement is continuous
• Roofs where a rigid coating has already cracked once
• Junctions and upstands that flex relative to the slab

Suitable substrates: RCC, Screed.

How it is applied

Brush or roller applied over a primed slab, with reinforcing mesh embedded at junctions, upstands and over treated cracks. The film thickness matters more here than with a rigid coating — elongation is a property of the built film, and a coat spread thin to save material loses exactly the property it was chosen for.

Preparation is the part that decides whether the system lasts. Loose material and failed old coatings are removed, cracks are cut and filled, and the surface is cleaned and brought to the moisture condition the product requires before anything is applied. Skipping that stage is the single most common reason waterproofing fails in its first season, whichever brand is on the tin.
