Dr. Fixit Pidicrete MPB

Dr. Fixit Pidicrete MPB is a multipurpose bonding agent for concrete repairs, used where new mortar, plaster or concrete has to be bonded reliably to an existing surface across a range of substrate conditions.

How it is applied

Applied to a clean, sound, dampened substrate immediately before the new material is placed. Loose material, laitance and any previous coating are removed first — a bonding agent applied over a weak surface bonds firmly to something that is itself about to come away.

Preparation is the part that decides whether the system lasts. Loose material and failed old coatings are removed, cracks are cut and filled, and the surface is cleaned and brought to the moisture condition the product requires before anything is applied. Skipping that stage is the single most common reason waterproofing fails in its first season, whichever brand is on the tin.
