Dr. Fixit Micro Concrete

Dr. Fixit Micro Concrete is a flowable, shrinkage-compensated concrete for structural repairs too deep to patch by hand. It is poured into formwork rather than trowelled on, which is what lets it fill fully around congested reinforcement.

Where Dr. Fixit Micro Concrete is used

This product is specified for concrete.

• Deep structural repairs to columns, beams and slabs
• Jacketing and section enlargement
• Repairs where reinforcement is congested and hand packing would leave voids
• Reinstating cover concrete lost to long-term corrosion

How it is applied

Shuttering is fixed around the cut-back area and the mix is poured or pumped in, filling from the lowest point so air is displaced upward. Exposed reinforcement is cleaned and treated first. Curing is not optional on a structural repair and is carried out for the full period the data sheet specifies.

Preparation is the part that decides whether the system lasts. Loose material and failed old coatings are removed, cracks are cut and filled, and the surface is cleaned and brought to the moisture condition the product requires before anything is applied. Skipping that stage is the single most common reason waterproofing fails in its first season, whichever brand is on the tin.
