Dr. Fixit Crack-X Shrinkfree is a non-shrink filler for wider and structural cracks in concrete. The shrink-free behaviour is the point — an ordinary cement fill shrinks as it cures and opens a fresh gap at the edge of the repair it was meant to close.

This product is specified for cracks, concrete.

How it is applied
The crack is cut out to a proper profile, cleaned and dampened, then filled and compacted so no voids remain behind the face. Where the crack is still moving, this rigid fill is not the right answer on its own and a movement-accommodating treatment is specified instead.
Preparation is the part that decides whether the system lasts. Loose material and failed old coatings are removed, cracks are cut and filled, and the surface is cleaned and brought to the moisture condition the product requires before anything is applied. Skipping that stage is the single most common reason waterproofing fails in its first season, whichever brand is on the tin.
