Dr. Fixit Polymer Mortar is a hand-applied repair mortar for shallow, non-structural patch repairs in RCC — the spalled chajja, the honeycombed patch, the corner knocked off a column.

Leakproofs by Betterwork specifies and applies Dr. Fixit Polymer Mortar as part of a complete waterproofing system. A material on its own does not stop a leak — what stops it is the right material chosen for the right defect, on a surface that has been properly prepared. That is why we deep-scan before we specify.

Where Dr. Fixit Polymer Mortar is used

This product is specified for concrete, cracks.

  • Shallow patch repairs on slabs, beams and columns
  • Spalled chajjas and balcony soffits
  • Honeycombed concrete revealed after shuttering removal
  • Making good areas cut back during leak tracing

Suitable substrates: RCC, Concrete.

How it is applied

Applied to concrete cut back to a sound edge, with exposed reinforcement cleaned and treated with an anti-corrosive coating first. Built up in layers within the thickness limits on the data sheet, over a bonding coat, and cured properly — a repair mortar allowed to dry too fast cracks and debonds.

Preparation is the part that decides whether the system lasts. Loose material and failed old coatings are removed, cracks are cut and filled, and the surface is cleaned and brought to the moisture condition the product requires before anything is applied. Skipping that stage is the single most common reason waterproofing fails in its first season, whichever brand is on the tin.

Key properties

  • Polymer modified for adhesion and reduced permeability
  • Hand applied, suited to vertical and overhead patches
  • Low shrinkage compared with site-batched mortar
  • Can be coated or painted over
  • For non-structural repairs — deeper work needs micro-concrete

How we carry out the work

  1. 1

    Free site inspection

An engineer visits at a time that suits you, examines the affected area and traces where the water is actually entering.

  2. 2

    Diagnosis & written estimate

You get a clear explanation of the cause, the treatment we recommend, and a fixed written price before any work begins.

  3. 3

    Surface preparation

Cracks are cut and filled, loose material removed and the surface cleaned. Skipping this is why most waterproofing fails.

    Application & curing

The chosen system is applied in the specified number of coats, with the correct curing time allowed between each.

  5. 5

    Water testing & handover

We flood-test or water-test the treated area, walk you through the result, and issue your warranty document.
