Product description
Leakproofs by Betterwork specifies and applies Dr. Fixit Crack-X Paste as part of a complete waterproofing system. A material on its own does not stop a leak — what stops it is the right material chosen for the right defect, on a surface that has been properly prepared. That is why we deep-scan before we specify.

How it is applied
The crack is opened out and cleaned, then the paste is worked well into it and finished flush. On external work the filled crack is then covered by the waterproofing or paint system rather than left exposed to weather on its own.
Preparation is the part that decides whether the system lasts. Loose material and failed old coatings are removed, cracks are cut and filled, and the surface is cleaned and brought to the moisture condition the product requires before anything is applied. Skipping that stage is the single most common reason waterproofing fails in its first season, whichever brand is on the tin.
