How it is applied
Mixed to the specified consistency and applied to a clean, sound, dampened substrate, usually over a bonding coat. Applied in the thickness range the data sheet allows — building a deep repair in one pass rather than in layers is a common cause of shrinkage cracking in the repair itself.

Loose material and failed old coatings are removed, cracks are cut and filled, and the surface is cleaned and brought to the moisture condition the product requires before anything is applied.
