Dr. Fixit Bathseal Kit supplies the coating together with the detailing components a bathroom actually needs — because bathrooms do not leak through the middle of the floor, they leak at corners, at the floor trap and where pipes pass through the slab.

Where Dr. Fixit Bathseal Kit is used

This product is specified for bathroom, wet areas.

• Complete waterproofing of a bathroom or toilet sunk slab
• Shower enclosures including wall-to-floor junctions
• Renovation work where the sunk portion has been opened up
• Wet areas where corner and penetration detailing has previously failed

Suitable substrates: RCC, Screed, Plaster.

How it is applied

The membrane is brush applied in successive coats with the kit’s tape embedded at every internal corner and around every penetration as the coats are built up. The completed system is flood-tested before the sunk portion is filled and tiled.

Preparation is the part that decides whether the system lasts. Loose material and failed old coatings are removed, cracks are cut and filled, and the surface is cleaned and brought to the moisture condition the product requires before anything is applied. Skipping that stage is the single most common reason waterproofing fails in its first season, whichever brand is on the tin.
