Product description
Leakproofs by Betterwork specifies and applies Dr. Fixit Silicone Sealant as part of a complete waterproofing system. A material on its own does not stop a leak — what stops it is the right material chosen for the right defect, on a surface that has been properly prepared. That is why we deep-scan before we specify.

- Weather sealing around non-porous cladding elements

How it is applied
Applied to clean, dry, grease-free surfaces and tooled to a neat concave profile. Old silicone is fully cut out before resealing — new silicone will not bond to cured silicone, and a bead applied over the top will peel away within months.
Preparation is the part that decides whether the system lasts. Loose material and failed old coatings are removed, cracks are cut and filled, and the surface is cleaned and brought to the moisture condition the product requires before anything is applied. Skipping that stage is the single most common reason waterproofing fails in its first season, whichever brand is on the tin.
