Dr. Fixit Tile Adhesive is a cement-based adhesive for fixing floor and wall tiles. On a waterproofed wet area it matters more than it looks: tiles bedded on sand-cement over a membrane leave voids that hold water, whereas a notched-trowel adhesive bed does not.

Leakproofs by Betterwork specifies and applies Dr. Fixit Tile Adhesive as part of a complete waterproofing system. A material on its own does not stop a leak — what stops it is the right material chosen for the right defect, on a surface that has been properly prepared. That is why we deep-scan before we specify.

Where Dr. Fixit Tile Adhesive is used

This product is specified for tiling, bathroom, kitchen.

  • Floor and wall tiling in bathrooms and kitchens
  • Tiling over a cured waterproofing membrane
  • Balcony and utility area tiling
  • Tiling on terraces over a waterproofed and screeded slab

Suitable substrates: RCC, Screed, Plaster, Existing tile.

How it is applied

Mixed to the specified consistency, spread with a notched trowel sized for the tile, and the tile bedded and beaten in to achieve full contact. The membrane beneath must be fully cured and, in a wet area, flood-tested before tiling begins.

Preparation is the part that decides whether the system lasts. Loose material and failed old coatings are removed, cracks are cut and filled, and the surface is cleaned and brought to the moisture condition the product requires before anything is applied. Skipping that stage is the single most common reason waterproofing fails in its first season, whichever brand is on the tin.

Key properties

  • Full-contact bed with no voids to hold water
  • Bonds to concrete, screed, plaster and existing tile
  • Polymer modified for improved adhesion
  • Suitable for floors and walls
  • Applied over cured waterproofing membranes

  1. 1

    Free site inspection

An engineer visits at a time that suits you, examines the affected area and traces where the water is actually entering.

    Diagnosis & written estimate

You get a clear explanation of the cause, the treatment we recommend, and a fixed written price before any work begins.

  3. 3

The chosen system is applied in the specified number of coats, with the correct curing time allowed between each.

  5. 5

    Water testing & handover

We flood-test or water-test the treated area, walk you through the result, and issue your warranty document.
