Dr. Fixit Tile Grout

Dr. Fixit Tile Grout is a cementitious grout for tile joints. It is perfectly adequate outside continuously wet zones — but in a shower or a pool a cementitious grout is porous, and porous grout passes water into the bed however good the waterproofing beneath it.

Where Dr. Fixit Tile Grout is used

This product is specified for tiling, bathroom, kitchen.

• Tile joints in kitchens, living areas and general wet-adjacent floors
• Bathroom floors and walls outside the shower zone
• Balcony and terrace tiling
• General tiling where chemical resistance is not required

Suitable substrates: Ceramic, Vitrified, Porcelain.

How it is applied

Mixed to a smooth consistency, worked fully into the joints with a rubber float, and the excess cleaned off before it sets hard. Joints are cleaned out to a consistent depth first — a grout line that varies in depth cures unevenly and cracks at the shallow points.

Preparation is the part that decides whether the system lasts. Loose material and failed old coatings are removed, cracks are cut and filled, and the surface is cleaned and brought to the moisture condition the product requires before anything is applied. Skipping that stage is the single most common reason waterproofing fails in its first season, whichever brand is on the tin.
