Dr. Fixit Fastflex Plus

Dr. Fixit Fastflex Plus is the higher-performance grade of the Fastflex system, specified for wet areas and water-retaining structures where greater flexibility or a more demanding exposure justifies the step up.

Leakproofs by Betterwork specifies and applies Dr. Fixit Fastflex Plus as part of a complete waterproofing system. A material on its own does not stop a leak — what stops it is the right material chosen for the right defect, on a surface that has been properly prepared. That is why we deep-scan before we specify.

Where Dr. Fixit Fastflex Plus is used

This product is specified for wet areas, bathroom, water tanks, swimming pools.

• Water tanks, sumps and swimming pool tanks
• Bathroom sunk slabs on buildings with structural movement
• Wet areas over substrates with active fine cracking
• Podium and terrace areas that will be tiled or screeded over
• Structures subject to continuous water contact

Suitable substrates: RCC, Screed, Plaster.

How it is applied

Mixed to the specified ratio and brush applied in successive coats at right angles, with reinforcing tape at all corners, junctions and penetrations. On water-retaining structures the system is cured and then flood-tested before the structure is put into service.

Preparation is the part that decides whether the system lasts. Loose material and failed old coatings are removed, cracks are cut and filled, and the surface is cleaned and brought to the moisture condition the product requires before anything is applied. Skipping that stage is the single most common reason waterproofing fails in its first season, whichever brand is on the tin.
