Dr. Fixit Acrylic Sealant

Dr. Fixit Acrylic Sealant is an interior sealant for filling cracks and gaps that will be painted over — the junction between a frame and the plaster, a settlement crack in an internal wall, a gap at a skirting.

Where Dr. Fixit Acrylic Sealant is used

This product is specified for joints, walls.

• Interior cracks and gaps ahead of painting

Suitable substrates: Plaster, Masonry, Timber.

How it is applied

Gunned into a cleaned gap and tooled flush, then painted once fully cured. It handles only limited movement, so a genuine structural movement joint takes a polyurethane sealant instead.

Preparation is the part that decides whether the system lasts. Loose material and failed old coatings are removed, cracks are cut and filled, and the surface is cleaned and brought to the moisture condition the product requires before anything is applied. Skipping that stage is the single most common reason waterproofing fails in its first season, whichever brand is on the tin.
